| Buddy Rogers Youth
Symphony

The Buddy Rogers Youth Symphony was founded in 1995 by Jeannette Banoczi
as part of the Coachella Valley Symphony Educational Outreach Program.
Currently comprised of some 50 student musicians ages 8-17, the group
has seen nearly 500 young musicians go through the program. Several have
gone on to perform with Coachella Valley Symphony, while others have gone
on to music schools and conservatories worldwide.
The orchestra rehearses weekly and offers more than two dozen public
and private performances each season. Buddy Rogers Youth Symphony musicians
have generally been studying their instrument for at least two years,
and are also eligible for scholarships, which are awarded twice annually
for individual instruction. For many, this is their first opportunity
for private lessons. There is no tuition or charge to the student musicians
or their parents.
All donations and proceeds from all Coachella Valley Symphony and Buddy
Rogers Youth Symphony concerts go to our Educational Outreach Program,
which not only supplies the scholarship funds, but also provides free
group string instruction through our Beginning Strings Conservatory program.
Please consider a tax-deductible donation to the Buddy Rogers Youth Symphony
so we may continue this worthy program. We are experiencing a greater
need than ever as a result of the current economic climate. However, because
we believe that music is crucial to developing the minds of our young
people - tomorrow's leaders - we remain committed to the children. Again,
there is no charge to any student, so truly "no child is left behind."
We are doing our part. If you can help, it would be greatly appreciated.
